Shawn Quirk, filmmaker and educator, has been appointed the Managing Partner of the GiveMe5 Teen Film Program. Shawn is the lead programmer for the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Shawn organizes juries, manages film programming, film exhibitions and retrospectives both during the festival and throughout the year and directs the KidsEye Summer Filmmaking Camp, Youth Jury, and RIIFF’s Year-round Film Education Outreach Initiatives and Fundraising Events.
GiveMe5 is thrilled to bring on Shawn who will serve as the programmatic manager of the labs and festival. Shawn will work with RISCA’s Maggie Anderson and Steven Feinberg to continue to grow and promote the program to best serve the young filmmakers of RI.
