Brown Department of Visual Art presents a visiting artist talk by Claire Pentecost on February 19th at 5pm, at the List Art Building. Claire Pentecost is an artist and writer who researches the living matters of the unified multi-dimensional being that has grown out of the surface of our planet. Her work is driven by research but inspired by questions of form. She advocates for the role of the amateur in the production and interpretation of knowledge, while a longstanding interest in nature and artificiality predicates her recent responses to anthropogenic climate change. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is recommended.
