Known as an art power house, local independent Rhode Island school, School One, exhibits student work at School One on the East Side in Providence, corner of Slater and University Avenues.
The special exhibit is Thursday, May 11th from 5:00-7:30pm and is free and open to the public. School One Annual Art Show, highlighting the talented students of School One.
Art is integrated into many academic subjects at School One (and covers most of our walls!). Our program expands students’ appreciation of the arts in their daily lives.
Further art in all its forms has been a central component of our school’s mission and programming for over 30 years. There is a long tradition of our students connecting with professional artists, art institutions and community organizations including the RI School of Design, Bert Gallery, BankRI Gallery, The Steel Yard, Providence Art Windows, Gallery Night Providence, RI Committee for the Humanities, Prov Poetry Slam, Fusion Dance Company, RI Youth Pride, and Hamilton House.
School One is a small, independent high school on the east side of Providence that provides an arts intensive, college preparatory education to an array of students from across Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.
