LEF New England Accepting Submissions for Moving Image Fund Grants

LEF New England is now accepting submissions for Moving Image Fund grants from New England-based filmmakers making feature-length (40+ minute) non-fiction film projects. 4-6 production grants of $15,000 will be awarded and 3 post-production grants of $25,000 will be awarded (post-production is only open to projects that have received prior LEF funding). Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to read the LEF New England Moving Image Fund guidelines [lef-foundation.org] and frequently asked questions [lef-foundation.org], and to contact LEF staff [lef-foundation.org] by e-mail to determine whether your project is eligible and a good fit for LEF’s funding priorities. Submission Deadline: January 24 2020 at 11:59pm (midnight).

New Film Fellowship Opportunity! Boston-area finalists for LEF Moving Image Fund production and post-production grants [lef-foundation.org] will be eligible to apply for the Harvard Film Study Center – LEF Foundation Fellowship [filmstudycenter.org], which offers access to the Film Study Center’s pool of production and post-production equipment, the opportunity to participate in the Harvard FSC community through work-in-progress screenings, workshops, and other activities, and a $10,000 grant over the course of the 2020-2021 academic year.
