Intern at RISCA!

The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts seeks an intern with an interest and basic skills in social media and external communications. The intern will be working with Individual Artists Program Director Mollie Flanagan to manage communications around RISCA’s activities, including: grant applications, grant awardees, Atrium Gallery shows, professional development events, and RISCA related news. This includes writing and gathering content for facebook, twitter, the blog, and the monthly newsletter based on written guidelines and under the supervision and support from Mollie. Based on the intern’s interests and skills, additional projects may include: work on a new professional development workshop series; grant management, including running grant panels; archiving files and re-organizing workspace; creation of a number of resources/resource lists; and/or development of a work in progress showing series. Internship includes mentorship from staff members, intern instigated projects, professional development, and a close up view of the day to day operations of a state arts agency.
