Saturday Studio: Youth Watercolor Workshop

Instructor: Sue Greco — Teaching since 2015, Sue Greco has taught both young and old. She has published two instructional books, “Kids Best Watercolor Lessons” and “More Watercolor Lessons.” This year Sue has illustrated two children’s books for Rhode Island authors. Sue has taught workshops in public libraries, senior centers, and after-school programs throughout New England.

Saturday, September 28, 2019 — 1:00 – 3:00pm (Ages 5 – 8)

Students will explore the exciting world of watercolor painting techniques all while creating a fun kite artwork.

Cost: $25 per Student — $5 discount for current WCFA members

Saturday, October 12, 2019 — 1:00 – 3:00pm (Ages 9 – 12)

Students will explore the exciting world of watercolor painting techniques all while creating a fun dog artwork.

Cost: $35 per Student / Fee includes one watercolor lesson book — $5 discount for current WCFA members

Warwick Center for the Arts Presents Intro to Drawing with Karen James

various pencil drawings by Karen JamesIntro to Drawing is a fun and relaxed way to learn the basic techniques and tools needed to start sketching and drawing. Whether you plan to draw just to capture a moment in time or to record detailed images, this is a great way to get started. You do not need to have any experience — Just a desire to learn!

“Watercolor Painting” with Aileen Quinn

Saturday, April 13, 20, 27, & May 4, & 11 2019 (3:00 – 5:00pm)

Cost: $100 for non-members / $90 for WCFA Members 

Instructor: Aileen Quinn

This five-week class will introduce students to basic watercolor techniques like blending colors, creating unique compositions, and creative expression with paint. Aileen Quinn and experienced artist and art instructor will help students discover watercolor as an ever- evolving expression both in traditional ways as well as innovative ways to work with scraps/practice sheets. The class is designed to be an encouraging and adventurous experience for people who have always wanted to try painting with watercolors. A Materials list will be emailed after registration.
