Presidents Week Workshop – Printmaking from Nature

Ages 6-12, February 18 (9:30am – 12:00pm)

Join us for a fun-filled workshop focused on creativity and intuition. We will examine common textural objects found in nature as well as everyday household and recycled materials and use in our printmaking. We will build and print with our own handmade blocks.  The options are endless!

Instructor: Aileen Quinn

Cost: $30 WCFA Members/$35 Non-Members

Presidents Week Workshop – Collage/Paper Sculpture

Ages 6-12, February 19 (9:30am – 12:00pm)

This workshop will bring a new dimension to paper exploration. We will discover the possibilities with various types of paper substrate including pressed dried natural items, shiny, smooth, rough, soft … countless objects can be used in collage.  Students will have fun customizing their personal collages and 3-D masterpieces!

Warwick Center for the Arts offers Art Class for Ages 3-5

Tiny Hands: Exploratory Art

Ages 3-5

Three Thursdays, 10-11am, February 6, 13 and 20

Join us for creative fun! Sensory exploration is a large part of the artistic experience. This series of classes will introduce children ages 3 – 5 to art projects which will allow them to express their creativity while engaging their other senses. These tactile projects will encourage children to use all modes of their creativity. A parent or guardian must be in attendance (no drop-offs)

Cost: $45 for a 3-class series. $5 discount for current WCFA members

Winter Classes at Wickford Art Association

Nurture and engage your artistic and creative juices this winter in a class at the Wickford Art Association. WAA is offering 15 classes with something for everyone. Have you painted in the past and wish to try it again? We have watercolor, acrylics and oil painting classes for all levels. Develop your photography skills in one of the 3 courses offered or learn to use the camera on your iPhone in a whole new way. We are also offering portrait and figure drawing. Perhaps you are more interested in crafts, we have that as well with jewelry, clay and mosaic classes. Our classes are taught by professional artists who have excellent teaching skills and love to share their knowledge.
