
Part of RISCA’s Atrium Gallery Traveling Exhibits Program

The Warwick Center for the Arts, in collaboration with RISCA’s Atrium Gallery Traveling Exhibits Program, is seeking original works for the upcoming exhibit, Expressions in Black. This is a juried Black Art Atrium Gallery Traveling Exhibit that will be showcased at the Warwick Center for the Arts from May 14 through June 17. The exhibit, curated by Rhode Island artist Monique Rolle-Johnson, will feature original visual work of regional and diverse Black artists whose works display fidelity, proficiency, and excellence in art making.
Monique Rolle-Johnson is a figurative colorist who skillfully utilizes color, depth, and design in her work. Monique has received degrees from the Rhode Island School of Design and the University of the Bahamas in conjunction with the University of the West Indies. Her works are in private and museum collections both nationally and internationally.

What: Expressions in Black – a Juried Black Art Exhibit at the Warwick Center for the Arts
When: An opening reception will be held on Thursday, May 19 from 6 p.m. -8 p.m. The exhibit will be on display May 14 through June 17.
