In honor of National Arts and Humanities Month (NAHM) in Rhode Island, RISCA, the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities, and the City of Providence Department of Art, Culture + Tourism (ACT) combined all the activities they are collectively doing this month into one calendar.
How are you celebrating this month? While you can attend the events we have listed or participate in the suggested social media campaigns to increase the visibility of arts and humanities this month, the most important things you can do are participate in arts and culture events that are most meaningful to you and your community, and communicate that importance to friends, neighbors, and decision-makers.
Here are some programs these three Cultural Partners are hosting that you can plug into this month!
