AS220 Property Maintenance Technician
(Part Time ~ approx. 25 hours/week)
AS220 Property Maintenance Technicians work closely with Live/Work program coordinators, other facilities and maintenance staff, and contractors to maintain and improve the buildings of AS220. This includes 47 residential apartments and 8 artist work studios, a bar and restaurant, performance and gallery spaces, a dance studio, a printshop, darkroom and makerspaces, and nine commercial and non-profit tenants, in three buildings in downtown Providence. The Property Maintenance team collaborates using task management systems, making effective use of the varying expertise of the team. Maintenance Technicians will also work with IT for technical needs, and the finance/admin team on purchasing and vendor relationships. Property Maintenance Technicians will learn about all of the mechanical systems in AS220’s buildings.
Hours: 25 hours per week + on-call hours as needed; hours likely to increase as programs begin on-site activities again (minimal public activity currently due to COVID-19).
Schedule: 3 days a week + oncall hours night/weekends.
Benefits: Includes holidays and paid time off as well as various AS220 program opportunities.
Wage: All staff in AS220’s non-profit operations are paid an equal pay rate of $19 per hour.
