RISCA is excited to announce the dates for the 2020 GiveMe5 Labs! These filmmaking labs are free and open to any high school student looking to learn the ins and outs of what it takes to make a film. Students will work collaboratively in groups guided by film teachers to write, shoot, and edit a short film all in one day!This year’s theme will be “No Dialogue.” Students will be challenged to make a film using cinematic language and sound design to tell a story without words. The lab will focus on key camera angles, foley sound effects, and image composition. Students interested in taking part can fill out the application form here.
The dates and locations for this year’s labs are March 7 at Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts in Providence; and March 14 at University of Rhode Island in Kingston.
