Summary

Trinity Rep’s Company Manager is the principal liaison between the artists and theater company, working under the guidance of the Producing Director to ensure all those involved in a production receive the essential support required to fulfill their contracts. The Company Manager is responsible for coordinating and supporting all applicable travel, lodging, hospitality, and emergency health and wellness needs for all artists each season. This position works closely with the Producing Director to manage all contracts, negotiations, payroll, and stipulations in accordance with various industry unions (AEA, SDC, USA).

Summary

Brown/Trinity Rep MFA Programs is seeking a full-time, seasonal Technical Director (TD) for our upcoming 2021/22 academic season. The TD will oversee all scenic related technical operations associated with MFA productions. Duties include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the scenic department for all mainstage shows, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. The TD closely collaborates with the Production Manager and the Technical Supervisor as well as the part-time production staff. Also works closely with student directors, and professional designers to attain the common goals of artistic excellence and creating and sustaining an equitable and inclusive environment. Must be able to meet deadlines; schedule labor; supervise/train the crew; maintain industry standards, evaluate budget, mechanical and logistic feasibility; and generate working drawings. Knowledge of AutoCAD or Vectorworks, rigging, and engineering a must. Candidate should be able to work at heights and work calmly and efficiently with others. Must be based in the Southern New England area – housing and transportation not provided.
