Providence is home to a vibrant theatre community of multicultural artists. For them, performance is an integral part of their culture and community.

The conference will center around bilingual and multilingual theatre education, giving our attendees insight into theatre education as a means of conveying intergenerational knowledge and histories. The AATE conference marks its first post-COVID, in-person conference in two years. It will be a moment to celebrate and support theater education, and the creativity of  artists and educators who help bring  communities together and support each other professionally.
