RISCA is announcing the availability of accessibility–related grants for cultural facilities, made available through the Cultural Facilities Grant Fund. These grants are designed to help fund projects to improve accessibility in and for cultural facilities in the state of Rhode Island.
A maximum grant of $25,000 is available through this one time opportunity. These are 1 to 1 matching grants, so total project cost must exceed $50,000. Grants can support projects that address physical accessibility to cultural facilities, such as ramps or bathroom alterations. They can also include the acquisition of equipment designed to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, such as hearing assistive devices or close captioning equipment.
